Our Big Vacation: Day 2

For some reason, our eyes refused to open and our brains to function properly this morning, so we didn't leave the hotel until almost 7:00.

We stopped at the Florida welcome center for the obligatory OJ and picture in front of the big sign (I'll show you later).

Traffic wasn't too bad until the interstate went down to 2 lanes each way instead of 3. Ugh. But that was better than the rain.

Somewhere north of Tampa the skies opened up and the rain poured down.

Really, really, really hard.

The last 100 miles took a sweet forever.

But we finally made it, and it's everything we could ever want. The kids were in the pool within 20 minutes. Mike and I wandered around, cameras in hand, taking pictures and videos.

I think I never want to leave.
