Today was the quintessential Florida summer day.
The sky was a beautiful shade of blue with big, puffy white clouds scattered around, just enough to make it interesting. The temps were in the low 90s. There was a warm breeze blowing off the gulf.
And we were at the beach.
Oh, what a beautiful beach.
The sand was white and packed so hard you almost didn't leave foot prints. The waves were perfect to jump through. And it wasn't too crowded. We may have stayed a little too long, however.
Yes, the dreaded sun burns have appeared.
Thankfully, they are not on our children.
Unfortunately, they are on our children's parents.
Mike got the worst of it, of course. He is the whitest white man ever in the entire world. Don't believe me? We used spf 85 on him. And the man is still glowing.
The kids, on the other hand, look like little Indians. I don't think they could possibly get any browner, and they are so stinkin' cute.
Tomorrow, we're on the search for dolphins.
And possibly manatees.
