Day 5
Happy Birthday, Ranelle !!!
We purchased a zoo membership, so this is our 2nd trip this year. Its nice because we don't have to rush to all the animals and exhibits to feel like "we got our money's worth". So this trip we just went to see the elephants (Sam's favorite), penguins (Grace's favorite), gorilla's (Same and Grace) and the fish - we all like the fish. While we've been to other aquariums, and by shear size the Columbus Zoo aquarium is lacking, it is still a really good one. There is a large variety of fish in a natural looking reef. There is also easy access to view them. The kids can get right up to the tank wall and feel as though they are inside.
After the zoo, we ate at one of Ranelle's favorites - The Cracker Barrel. Afterwards we had dessert at Cold Stone Creamery. Yum. Yum. Yum. By the time we got home it was 4:00 and we were beat. It was a good day.
Tomorrow's the weekend, and my vacation is over. Thanks for helping me keep track of what happened this week. We frequently look back and ask - did we even have a vacation? Now I have documentation to refresh our memories.
