Cheese Toes

You know how sometimes your kids make unexpected connections? Grace made a really funny one tonight at supper.

Occasionally, if they've eaten a pretty good supper without too much aggravation, we'll let them have chips. Tonight was one of those lucky nights. The chip of choice were the "orange chips." Everyone else calls them Cheetos.

While munching on hers, Grace asked me what they were called. "Chee - tos," I very carefully enunciated.

She repeated it several times, always stressing the "tos" part of it. All of a sudden, her face lit up. "Hey! These are CHEETOS, and these (lifting her foot), are TOES!"

Mike and I just looked at one another and laughed.
