Pumpkin Show

Today we went to the 99th Circleville Pumpkin Show. The OHVA had a special outing today that included a scavenger hunt and a chance to meet some teachers face to face. This was our first chance to meet Miracle's teacher. There is a Circleville teacher in OHVA, but we were not able to be assigned to her. So we offically work with Antona, from Columbus. We are able to join in the local activities, however.

Today it was a bit chilly - low 50s with a bit of misting. But if we kept walking it was fine. The scavenger hunt took us to all corners of the festivities. Grace enjoyed it since she got to watch people all about doing things she's never seen before. Miracle liked the learning about everything from the huge pumpkin pie to Ted Lewis. About the time we got to the cratfs and food building, it was beginning to sprinkle. While we were in there, it began to pour! So, we spent a lot of time and saw art, huge vegetables, photos, cakes, and more. We left while it was lightly sprinkling, but it wasn't too bad (unless you ask Ranelle).

After that we got Grace's 1st year pictures taken (a bit late, of course). She was very good. I can't wait until we get them and you all get to see them.

OK, well, no pictures for this post - we're dumb and forgot the camera. Anyway, I hope you get a chance to visit the show this year.
