Is It Wrong to be Amused?

So, my children like the bad guys.

And by "my children" I really mean "Grace." Sam just goes along for the ride. He's actually a pretty good side kick/henchman.

You know how there's usually a good guy and a bad guy in children's shows? And usually the little girl wants to be the beautiful princess? Or the super hero who saves the day? Or the spy who stops the bad guys?

Yeah, not so much with Grace.

When watching Beauty and the Beast, she's the wolves trying to eat Belle. In Cinderella, she's the evil stepsisters, beating the crap out of Cinderella. She's "the Lady the Pink" when they watch Backyardigans' International Super Spy. She calls herself Shego and Sam is Dr. D.

Wow. My kids watch way too much tv.

But that's beside the point.

Last night, I had taken Miracle to the church. They were going ice skating at the Chiller. I went on into town to pick up pizza for supper. Mike and Sam and Grace stayed home and played trains. Mike told me this morning that whenever the trains were on a collision course, facing certain doom, Grace did her evil laugh (BWWWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA), and continued to laugh after the collision.

Is there any hope?

It must be something with the year they were born in. Harley has a twisted little sense of humor as well. Example: She was a little over 2 yrs old and we were watching jugglers in a Pumpkin Show parade. One of them dropped the items and she said "wa wa waaaa"
