The second time around, at least. Because you know things.
You have experience.
You know how awful it can be.
Sam has to get tubes in his ears. And I know it's not a really huge, awful, horrible thing to have happen. We went through it twice with Miracle, plus a nasal cautery, adnoidectomy, and tonsillectomy. And she recovered just fine, and very quickly.
But the waiting?
The watching your child roll away without you?
Yeah, that's just 9 kinds of horrible.
And this time I am all-too aware of HOW awful it is.
So, on May 3, if you don't mind, say a prayer for Sam, that everything would go perfectly, that God would have His hand on him every moment, and that his recovery would be swift.
And please, if you wouldn't mind, say a pray for his mommy also, who will be driving his daddy crazy in the waiting room.
